The Writer reviews Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

I'm even surprised at myself at seeing this film opening day...

The Writer remembers Layne Staley, 1967 - 2002

I think when one of the voices of your generation dies, it makes you wonder about what your generation has been doing with themselves. I mean, not to get too philosophical, but are you getting things done, did that voice say it all, what did their life represent...

Maybe not as swiftly, but I am back as promised...

Greetings from Autumn in New England, 2000! And this time I have the goods. If you click on Collections, you'll find a pointer that says "Untitled Short Story Series 2000." This is what you have been waiting for.

What I have is a nine part series. The stories will interlink with one another, but you'll have to wait until the very end to see how it all plays out. Why do you ask? Because I have to wait until the very end! I am only half way through the second story (don't panic, I'll keep up with deadlines...) and so far this exercise has turned out entirely different than I anticipated/imagined/wanted/planned, etc. That's not to say I'm not happy, because I am happy with where I am going with this. It's just that the previous exercise will have to wait, most likely for a better subject matter.

The subject in this series is the center point. In fact, I'm really looking at it as the "Tenth Character", the antagonist that is the Monkey in the wrench, the fly in the ointment, the pain in the ass. In it, you'll see how the characters' lives change, interact and intertwine.

Everything you need to know is in the Collections section. Have fun, enjoy yourself, send me some feedback and enjoy the foliage.

Best Regards,

ejh

A Word from The Writer:

Dear Surfer:

I know it's been a long time; a long time between updates on this site and a long time between refreshing it with new material. Life is a wild ride and sometimes we gotta just go with it even if that means ignoring other things that we'd rather be doing.

Well, that's about to change.

Effective immediately, or as immediate as I can possibly add stuff, this site, A Writer's March will become a full blown, well oiled internet site of eBooks and ePublishing. In the grand tradition of Steve King's experiment with The Plant, I will be running my own eBook in serial format. Actually, I intend to do at least two. How cool is that?

Yes, yes, I know what you are saying and I do hear you. How can I do something as bold as what Steve King has been doing? How could I, The Writer, really get people interested and on this site?

Well, that's an answer that is two fold. One, I intend to use the outlets of the internet to get the word out about A Writer's March. And two, I hope to get help from you, you the readers and surfers and literature fans and friends and family. Spread the word and tell them to goto WWW.WRITERSMARCH.COM as often as they can and spread the word. I need your help with this as much as you want my new material.

So what's the new serial going to be about? Well, it's a bit more complex than Steve King's, but I think just as much fun. Details on it will be forth coming. Sorry, gotta keep it a secret a little longer. In the meantime, I've added some "old relects" as I've been referring to them in the Short Story section. I finally pulled out all the old material that's been on diskettes for years and reformatted them. As they get done, I'll post them. Some are good, some are just blessed terrible, but we'll have some fun.

I encourage feedback and ideas and look forward to hearing from you. Keep coming back more often and check out the changes and updates.
