Eric Heise was born in 1972, and raised in southeastern Massachusetts on the South Shore. He was educated at Bridgewater State College, and received degrees in Communications and English. He is the author of three novels: Wilson, BSC, and Chains, and is currently working on novels Four and Five, and hopes to have them both completed in the Spring and Summer of 2004, respectively. His short story, The Loss, is a Glimmer Train Press Very Short Fiction Award Finalist for Winter 2002.

Eric is also the writer of the column, The Monday Analysis, an Monday morning quarterback-style column on the National Football League, which appears every Monday (no lie!) on his web site: http://www.writersmarch.com.

"There were times when I was younger when I really didn't think I'd be able to make a living off my art," Eric says sipping coffee. Then he grins wickedly. "I still haven't. But I'm still shooting for the moon and when I hit that, I'll shoot for Mars. Why not? I've got nothing to lose!

"I can't sit around and wish for things to happen. Like the old saying goes, you have to work for everything you get 'cause no one is going to give it to you. It's true. And no one is going to look out for you all the time. You've got to get yourself out in front and get noticed. That's part of what this site it all about. It's a way of getting my material out to the public, get communication to perspective employers and customers, and yeah, get an agent and/or editor to take notice. I can't send everyone in the world a story or column, but I can make them accessible on this site for the whole world to read."

Eric makes his living as a technical writer for high-tech companies in the Boston area, both on contract and on staff. He is also the principle of Unestone Press, a free-lance writing house specializing in technical and training manuals and material, print and electronic communication, and graphic design and advertising. Unestone Press provides small and larges businesses with added customer attractions, such as web design, brochures, and business announcements, as well as specializing in technical manuals for startup high-tech companies looking to make that next big push forward. Unestone Press is a division of Unestone International.

He also donates his writing to charitable organizations, such as the MSPCA and their newsletter, where he is the ghost writer for Hannah's Corner.

Eric resides at Heise Manor in North Attleboro, Massachusetts with his lovely fiancée Kimberly and their three cats: Benjamin, Maggie, and Mikey. He is a writer, artist, and guitarist.
